Services Product engineering Practice 01 · Build

Fig. 01a  /  Product engineering

The application, end to end.

We build web applications from zero to production — the interface users touch, the API behind it, and the data model underneath. One team owns the whole path, so nothing falls through the seams between front and back.

Typical span6–16 weeks
Team size2–3 engineers

What's included

Scope of the practice
AInterface The front end users actually touch — accessible, fast, and built to a real design, not a template. We work from your designs or produce them.
BAPI & services The backend behind the interface: endpoints, auth, jobs, and integrations, structured so the next feature is cheap to add.
CData model A schema that reflects the domain rather than the first screen you drew. Migrations, seeds, and the queries that keep it fast.
DDeploy pipeline CI, preview environments, and one-command deploys, so shipping is boring and reversible from day one.
ETests & instrumentation Coverage where it earns its keep, plus logging and metrics wired in before launch — not bolted on after the first incident.

What you get

Deliverables, itemised
01 Working deployment, updated weekly
02 Source in your repository, from commit one
03 Architecture doc & data-model diagram
04 Runbook and deploy instructions
05 Handover walkthrough with your team

Stack we reach for

TypeScript, React, and Node by default; Postgres for data; deployed on Cloudflare or the client's own cloud. We match an existing stack when there is one rather than forcing ours.

Representative work

Kleio AI — a document-intelligence product, built and run

Interface, API, and retrieval layer shipped as one system, then kept on retainer. A full walk-through of the build lives with the case study.
